Dr. Rivera was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she attended the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus. She received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University.
After graduating, she completed one year rotating surgical, medical and emergency internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners. She has an interest in soft-tissue surgery and internal medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Rivera likes to spend time with friends, her dogs Clark and Luli, and cat Zumba. She also enjoys cooking, traveling and relaxing at the beach. She is fluent in Spanish.
